Financial Enlightenment Club (F.E.C.) is comprised of diverse and enthusiastic real-estate investors, entrepreneurs and professionals. Our strong entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with synergy, serves to motivate and promote our ability to prosper. We have come together to combine our efforts and share our knowledge by creating a venue for F.E. C. Club members, sponsors and affiliates to enrich their lives, their finances and their spirits. We lean on each other, learn from each other, share opportunities, and enjoy ourselves while we strive to grow individually and as a network.
K. Roberts – Founding member of the F.E.C.
Born in Texas, she relocated to Northern California, following a tour of duty in the U.S.Navy. After a decade of disability due to a back injury, she set her goals on quickly and effectively using real-estate as a tool for building financial independence and wealth.
Ms. Roberts is C.E.O. of Porter-Roberts Enterprises, LLC., and President of Dynamic Investment Group- an investment coordination firm and real- estate acquisition team. She is very dedicated to the mobility of F.E.C. and to the development of its members.
Milu Magsombol – Vice-President of F.E.C. & Benefits Coordinator for F.E.C.
He came to America from the Philippines in 1990, with wife Chona and fell in love with the warm welcome he received in his Novato community. He and his wife have 2 beautiful teenage daughters. Milu’s background is in architecture and he worked as a project manager for a firm that constructed upscale residential and commercial projects. He joined F.E.C. to share his experience and gain valuable knowledge from other peers. Milu believes in financial freedom, and the vehicle he uses to secure his freedom is real- estate.

Michelle Porter – Assistant Director of F.E.C. & Secretary of Treasury
Real Estate Investing is a new and exciting endeavor that she’s chosen as her path to financial freedom. Conservative by nature, it was a challenge for her to think outside of the “one house- 30 year fixed mortgage” box; but now she is seeing the benefits and rewards of her faith. Michelle holds a Masters Degree in nursing and is a family nurse practitioner, as well as an active investor.
Van Shackelford- Secretary & Education Director of F.E.C.
He is a former Director of Publications, an active Technical Writer, and currently Co-President of STC North Bay (Society for Technical Communication). After losing his retirement funds in the last stock market crash, Van consolidated his assets and now owns 2 homes and is awaiting the birth of a duplex in the spring of 2006 in Northern California. Van holds a B.S. in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco.

The F.E.C. keeps its pulse on the local and nationwide real estate market to keep It’s members current on investing opportunities and hurdles. Instead of focusing on the “bubble”, we believe that there will always be a healthy market when we can understand and identify strong opportunities from weak ones.
